Consumer prices down 0.4 percent in September
Compared with September 2014, consumer prices decreased by 0.4 percent in September 2015. Grocery prices elevated 0.8 percent. Seasonal product prices augmented: potato, fresh vegetables and fruits cost 16.3 percent more; consumers had to pay 8.3 percent more for cooking and oil 5.3 percent more for eggs. Alcoholic drink and tobacco product prices rose 3.9 percent. Services were offered for 2 percent more on average. Compared with August 2015, consumer prices dropped 0.6 percent, while the price of groceries was down 0.2 percent. Services were available for 0.6 percent less but alcoholic drinks and tobacco products cost 0.1 percent more. The price of ‘other goods’ was down 2.3 percent and we had to pay 5.1 percent less for motor fuels.
