Brave new world?
There are few political forces which dare to argue with the often demagogic principles advocated by health campaigners, like a total ban on smoking everywhere. One of the most bizarre examples of over-zealousness is a bill submitted by a Democratic and a Republican representative in perfect unison in the sate of Mississippi. This would call for restaurants being compelled to refuse to serve guests who are overweight, since this state boasts the highest percentage of overweight adults in the US. Fortunately, the bill has been rejected.
