A bright future for the plant-based food market
A recent report by Future Market Insights has found that the global market for plant-based foods could triple between 2025 and 2035, reaching a USD 44bn value.

Alternative proteins continue to account for approximately 50 per cent of the plant-based market

This growth is driven by a combination of environmental, health, ethical and technological factors. Meat substitutes dominate nearly half of the market, while pea protein is the leading alternative protein source. Nutritional content and health are the most important considerations for consumers: 65% are reducing their meat consumption for health reasons and 61% for sustainability reasons.
