Alexandra Szentkirályi: 10 percent of the inspected stores violated the law during the mandatory promotions
10 percent of the inspected stores committed violations of the law during the mandatory campaign, the government spokesman announced on Thursday in Budapest to Kormányinfo.
Alexandra Szentkirályi said that the authorities investigated 722 stores in 10 weeks, found objections in 70 stores, i.e. 10 percent of the investigated stores committed violations of the law, some even more, so a total of 102 violations were found.
The government spokesperson also reported that the online price monitor successfully generates price competition between stores, as prices in 54 of the 62 product categories on the website fell by an average of 6.7 percent, and according to experts, food inflation may have decreased by 1.8 percent as a result.
