Personnel changes at the Bosch Group in Hungary

István Szászi, the head of the Bosch Group’s Hungary and Adriatic region, who was also responsible for managing the Budapest Development Center, is leaving. After a 22-year career at the company, the specialist will continue his professional career elsewhere from the end of June 2026 – Bosch told MTI on Thursday.

According to the information, Attila Horváth will be the head of the Bosch Group in Hungary and the Adriatic region from July 2026.

The manager joined the Bosch Group in 2001 and has held numerous management positions in the power tools, car electronics and car multimedia businesses in Hungary and Germany.

Attila Horváth will perform his new regional duties in addition to his responsibilities as Technical Managing Director of Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft. in Hatvan.

At the same time, Zoltán Szőke will take over the management of the Budapest Development Center. The specialist joined the company group in 2004 and is currently the Vice President of Bosch’s “Driver Assistance Systems Area” in Germany.

At Robert Bosch Energy and Body Systems Kft. in Miskolc, Frank Meyer will replace Roland Ahl in his position from July 2026, who will continue his professional career outside the company group. Frank Meyer worked as the head of the Bosch factory in Toluca, Mexico, and joined the Bosch group 30 years ago. The German specialist has extensive experience in the field of automotive manufacturing and international cooperation, as he has worked at numerous Bosch locations, from Germany to China to Mexico – they informed.

Bosch has been present in Hungary with its products since 1898. The regional trading limited liability company, which was re-established in 1991, has now become a significant group of companies.

In Hungary, the Bosch Group operates as a close strategic cooperation of nine independent companies and is one of the largest foreign industrial employers in the country. In the 2024 financial year, it achieved total net sales of HUF 2,058 billion, of which HUF 313 billion was generated from sales outside the group to the Hungarian market.

The Bosch Group in Hungary employed more than 17,400 employees on December 31, 2024. The dealer and service network belonging to each production, commercial and development unit covers the entire country.
