Szekszárdi Cabernet Sauvignon and Pécsi Cirfandli won this year’s PTE Wine Competition
In the red wine category, the Wine of PTE has become the Lajvér Winery’s 2012 Szekszárdi Cabernet Sauvignon, while in the white wine category the semi-sweet Cirfandli wine of the University of Pécs (PTE) became the winner.
The University of Pécs (PTE) in its release on Thursday wrote that 16 wines of 10 wineries from the Pécs, Szekszárd, Tolna and Villány wine regions were competing for the prestigious title.
The Hőgyész-based Horváth Winery’s 2012 vintage Madarász Cuvée wine received a special award. The wine competition of PTE has been organized since 2000. (MTI)
