We spent one hundred and fifty billion forints on beer last year
Leading manufacturers sold 76,000 hectoliters more beer in Hungary in 2018. The sales of the highest category premium beers increased the most, by 24 percent, compared to the previous year – origo wrote after the V4NA International News Agency. Last year, 15 million bottles more beer was sold in Hungary than a year before.
The analysis of the Association of Hungarian Brewers reveals that in 2018 the five largest producers – Borsodi, Dreher, Heineken, Carlsberg and the Pécsi Sörfőzde sold 6.29 million hectoliters of beer in Hungary. In 2018, Hungarians drank 15 million bottles more than a year before. (origo, Both Hunor)
