Chefs bid to break world record by making 105 dishes from one giant cabbage
Chefs are cooking up a new world record bid by making more than 100 dishes from one giant cabbage.
TV cook Stephanie Moon will lead the drive to serve 105 different recipes in a day – all featuring the cabbage.
Peter Glazebrook, from Newark, Notts, has grown a super-sized veg specially for next month’s record bid.
The attempt will take place at the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show, in North Yorkshire, on September 13
Spokesman Martin Fish said: “People ask what it would be like to cook one of our monster exhibits – it will be fun to find out.
“We already host the record weigh-in for the world's heaviest onion and, when we researched previous attempts to cook with giant veg, we couldn't find any records for the greatest number of dishes you can get from one specimen.”
