A hundred million bank card payments
Cellum started Hungary’s first nationwide mobile payment service in 2006. Since then 100 million payments have been realised in the system, in the value of HUF 70 billion. The first payment service they offered was parking tickets and by 2015 more than 13 million such transactions were implemented using Cellum’s system. One quarter of Cellum’s transactions were motorway stickers and in 2015 no less than 5.6 million transactions were made to buy lottery tickets via Cellum.
