The Hungarian seed is a competitive economic value
Hungary is the sixth largest seed exporter in the world behind France, the Netherlands, the United States, Germany and Chile.
This year, 35 percent of the quantity of the seed that was produced on a total of 130 thousand hectares of land will be exported was said today at the press conference of the Seed Association Interprofessional Organization and Product Council. It was also said that because of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict the quality Hungarian seed may enter new markets.
The Seed Association Interprofessional Organisation and Product Council has 817 members, including international companies, large farms, teh institutions of agricultural research and plant breeding and a high number of private farms – Takács Géza, teh President of the organization explained.
