Coles cuts prices for hundreds of products
Jumbo-sized tomato sauce bottles, private label vegan meat alternatives and bundle deals on baby food are all on the menu for supermarket giant Coles as the retailer embarks on its latest price-cutting mission.
The new campaign, launched on Thursday, sees the supermarket giant drop the price of more than 300 products across its stores with a focus on lowering the cost of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s a move bound to reignite the price war with its arch rival, Woolworths.
Shoppers are being told to get used to the rolling sales at supermarkets, with prices of well-known brands to be reduced.
A significant portion of the price cuts will be applied to private label products, which Coles plans to expand into gluten-free, low-fructose, and the rapidly emerging meat-free products.
