The market for online shopping is soaring
Although fewer people ordered online in mid-March, the market for online orders began to soar by the end of the month, and Hungarians are increasingly willing to shop daily through a webshop. Hygiene orders have almost quadrupled, and consumer purchases of consumer electronics have doubled by the end of the month, with only demand for luxury goods falling drastically in recent weeks.
Many retailers can be saved by online sales, which can be seen in the increase in the number of new webshops – among other things, this is revealed by the analysis of iLogistic.hu, one of the country’s largest fulfillment webshop logistics companies, which examined their partners’ March sales data.
