The building complex of the Abbey Major in Pannonhalma to be expanded as a hotel
Várszegi Asztrik abbot and Paul Rosenberg, the European Development Director of Marriott hotel chain signed a 20-year-long agreement for the three hundred-year-old Abbey Major on Wednesday.

The development is planned to begin next March, while the hotel will open on the Easter of 2020. This will be the first rural unit of the Marriott hotel chain in Hungary and one of the region’s top hotels.
The investment amounted to about 5.0 billion forints, which is supported by the government with 2.95 billion forints. (MTI)
