Hotel Association: all tourism indicators rose to a record level last year
The hotel industry closed an outstanding year in 2016. All tourism indicators rose to a record level last year – according to the latest analysis of the Hungarian Association of Hotels and Restaurants (MSZÉSZ) sent to MTI.
According to the evaluation of the analysis, the turnover of hotels increased significantly. The gross room revenues increased by 11.9 percent to 212.6 billion HUF. The total gross sales of hotels increased by 9.7 percent to 360.2 billion HUF. The total turnover of the hotels in the Balaton region increased by 8.5 percent and room revenues increased by 12.1 percent, compared to the the base. (MTI)
