The Hotel of the Year 2025 awards were presented on Friday evening. The competition was announced last September by the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (MSZÉSZ) in partnership with Visit Hungary, the MSZÉSZ told MTI.

The MSZÉSZ launched the competition in 2013 with the aim of presenting the sector’s outstanding hotels as role models for the industry and drawing guests’ attention to hotels offering high-quality services. The jury evaluated the hotels not only in terms of the quality of their offerings, but also the exemplary personnel policy presented in the application, the innovative developments that aided the operation, the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy affecting all employees of the hotel, and the market performance compared to competitors, the announcement said.

It was announced that once again many hotels decided to challenge themselves because they are proud of their high-level services, employee satisfaction, digital developments and operational results.

The winner of the Hotel of the Year 2025 title in the 5-star category was Queen’s Court Hotel & Residence. In the 4-star “full service” category outside the capital, Ensana Thermal Aqua in Hévíz won, while in the 4-star “full service” category in Budapest, Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube won. The winner of the 4-star “limited service” category in Budapest was Mera Hotel. In the 3-star “full service” category, Elixír Medical Wellness Hotel Mórahalom won, and in the 3-star “limited service” category, Florin Apart Hotel in Budapest won.

The jury also awarded special prizes to the best: the best human policy special prize went to Danubius Hotel Helia, and the outstanding guest experience special prize went to the 4-star superior category Ózon Hotel & Luxury Villas in Mátraháza.
