Hotel Association: the number of domestic guest nights increased by 10 percent in hotels in Hungary

In the first two months of the year, the number of domestic guest nights increased by 10 percent, while the number of foreign guest nights increased by 7.6 percent, compared to 2014 – the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants told MTI.

According to the survey of the STR Global market research company the average hotel occupancy rate in Hungary was 40.1 percent in January-February, 2.5 percentage points higher than a year ago. The average gross room price in Hungarian hotels was 16,085 HUF, which is 9.3 percent higher than the base. The gross RevPAR indicator was 6456 HUF, 16.8 percent higher than a year earlier. (MTI)
