Hotel Association: Europe remains the major source for the Hungarian tourism
According to the leader of the Association of Hotels and Restaurants, Europe remains the major source market for the Hungarian tourism; although the number of guests from India and China has grown considerably, while 80 percent of the foreigners still come from Europe to Hungary.
Niklai Ákos told M1 news channel on Sunday that the hotel occupancy rate in Budapest in August was the second best in Europe, while the rural tourism does not perform so well because of the lack of Russian and Ukrainian guests. Another factor is that the state does not advertise rural targets too much – he added. (MTI)
