Szallas.hu: the average booking price increased by 17 percent last year

According to data from Szallas.hu, the average booking price per person in 2023 was HUF 13,000 per night, which represents a 17 percent increase compared to 2022. Balaton was the most popular among the regions and Budapest, Siófok and Eger among the settlements in 2023. destinations.

In its summary of last year, the accommodation booking portal highlighted: the region of the Hungarian Sea and Northern Hungary benefited from the largest share of bookings initiated on the Szallas.hu website in a regional summary. Lake Balaton was chosen for every fifth reservation in 2023, and for 18 percent of the reservations, the guests chose Northern Hungary

Lili Kelemen, the Szallas.hu press spokesperson, explained in the announcement.

Budapest, Siófok and Eger led the top list of domestic destinations last year. These were followed by Pécs, Szeged, Gyula and Hajdúszoboszló. Hévíz, Debrecen and Balatonfüred were also included in the top ten list.
