According to the domestic pre-booking data of Szallas.hu, the occupancy level for the Christmas period is almost the same as last year, so last-minute bookings can topple the previous year’s traffic.

According to the information provided by the accommodation booking portal on Thursday, Budapest, Eger, Hévíz, as well as Gyula, Hajdúszoboszló, Szeged, Zalakaros, Pécs, Siófok and Debrecen are the most popular destinations at Christmas.

Hotels are the winners of the holiday, half of Szallas.hu reservations are for hotels.
