Szallas.hu: more people are traveling to Croatia this year
This year, in May, June and July, 10 percent more people booked accommodation in Croatia, and the number of reservations for August increased by 12 percent compared to a year ago, Szallas.hu told MTI based on reservation data.
In Croatia, Vir and Crikvenica are the most popular destinations, and among the regions, the Kvarner Bay and Dalmatia – Zadar area are the most booked by Hungarians for the May-September period.
Almost two-thirds of the bookings are for 5-7 nights. Most people travel to Croatia in August and July.
Three quarters of those traveling to the Croatian Adriatic prefer apartments among the types of accommodation, they said.
A third of Hungarians booking accommodation in Croatia on the Szallas.hu website are traveling with a family or group of 4, and a quarter are traveling as a couple.
