Szallas.hu: Croatia is attracting more Hungarians this summer than last year
There are more Hungarian vacations in Croatia this year than last year: the number of Croatian vacations in July increased by 3 percent, and in August it was already 1 percent above the previous year’s level, according to the latest data sent by Szallas.hu to MTI.
According to the expectation of the online accommodation agent, the difference may continue to increase in favor of this summer. Three out of four reservations in Croatia are for 4-7 nights.
On the Szallas.hu website, 17 percent of the summer reservations in Croatia made this year were in the hotel category, this was 15 percent in 2022. 76 percent of the bookings are for apartments, their proportion was 78 percent last year.
According to data from Szallas.hu, one night in Croatia costs HUF 13,620 on average this summer, which is an 18 percent increase compared to last year. On average, a night in a hotel costs HUF 28,570 per person, which means a 6 percent increase compared to the summer of 2022. In the case of non-hotel accommodation, an average of HUF 10,960 per person per night must be paid, which is a 19 percent price increase.
