Szallas.hu: the autumn season is off to a promising start in terms of accommodations
According to data from Szallas.hu, 42 percent more domestic holiday reservations have already been registered for this fall than at this time last year; Eger, Gyula and Hévíz are the most sought-after destinations for the long weekend on the first of November – this was revealed by the latest analysis of the Szallas.hu hotel booking website.

Domestic tourism has already started to recover
In the statement sent to MTI on Monday, it is highlighted: the number and ratio of the reservations made so far give cause for confidence, the effect of inflation and the addition of the modification of the overhead reduction is difficult to predict. Until August 30, 42 percent more domestic reservations were made for the autumn period than last year, which increased the gross room rate revenue by 76 percent – Lili Kelemen, Szallas.hu press spokesperson, explained the details in the announcement. Nationally, one night costs HUF 11,200 per person on average, which is an increase of around 10 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
