Szallas.hu: pre-bookings for the Pentecost weekend increased by 15 percent compared to the previous year
Pre-bookings for the Whitsun long weekend increased by 15 percent compared to the previous year, Szallas.hu told MTI on Wednesday based on its own data.
According to the latest survey of the accommodation booking site, Gyula, Siófok and Eger attract the most guests, Budapest is in sixth place. Szeged, Pécs, Budapest, Hajdúszoboszló, Balatonfüred, Zalakaros and Nyíregyháza were also included in the top ten list. Almost a third of the guests spend their vacation in an apartment, 26 percent in a guest house, and 23 percent in a hotel. 14 percent of the guests chose a boarding house and 6 percent other accommodation.
For the three-day holiday, the average booking price mediated by Szallas.hu is HUF 12,000 per person per night, they said.
During the long weekend ending with the first of May, the number of reservations was barely 10 percent lower than the “numbers of the season-exploding four-day Easter long weekend”, they wrote.
