Szallas.hu: Budapest, Eger and Hajdúszoboszló lead the top list of domestic couple bookings this weekend

The top list of domestic bookings for two people on Valentine’s Day weekend is led by Budapest, Eger and Hajdúszoboszló, followed by Hévíz, Gyula, Zalakaros and Pécs, as well as Siófok, followed by Miskolc and Szeged in a tie, and Egerszalók is at the bottom of the top ten list – Szallas.hu told MTI on Tuesday, based on its own data.

They added that 58 percent of double bookings are for two nights. The rate of one-night stays is 30 percent, and that of three-night stays is 11 percent. Four or more nights account for 1 percent of bookings.

Hotels lead the ranking of accommodation types with 56 percent of double bookings.

The announcement quoted Lili Kelemen, the press spokesperson for Szallas.hu, who said that nearly two-thirds of hotel bookings are for four-star hotels.

In terms of accommodation types, the second most popular category among couples was the apartment, the third was the guesthouse, and the fourth was the pension.

According to Szallas.hu data, for apartments, The highest proportion of basket values under 70 thousand forints is found in guesthouses and guest houses. In contrast, more than half of hotel bookings fall into the basket value category of 70–170 thousand forints.

They also mentioned that spas and wellness experiences continue to be the most popular programs among guests during this period.

Among the seasonal experience programs, the Mohács bus tour attracts the most visitors. According to data from Szallas.hu, its impact on bookings is also noticeable: this weekend, among those traveling with children, accommodations in Pécs, Harkány and Villány received the highest proportion of bookings.
