Following the voluntary commitments of the producers, the average sugar and calorie content of domestic soft drinks and fruit juices in Hungary will continue to decrease in 2022, so these values are 45.5 percent lower than they were in 2010, announced the Hungarian Mineral Water, Fruit Juice and Soft Drink Association (MAGYÜSZ). on Tuesday with MTI.
According to the information, with the transformation of the recipes and the introduction of new, innovative products, the proportion of reduced-calorie and calorie-free drinks increased from 23 percent to 62 percent within the non-alcoholic beverage category.

By the end of the commitment period, i.e. until the end of 2020, the average sugar and calorie content per 100 milliliters of the soft drinks produced and distributed by the members of the association decreased by 43 percent overall.
