Professional federation: the number of students opting for the agricultural engineering profession has increased
In five years, the number of students opting for the agricultural engineering profession has increased by 70 percent, most of them choosing an agricultural career because of competitive income, high-tech machines, and nature – the National Association of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Dealers (MEGFOSZ) told MTI on Wednesday.
According to their information, in the 2014/15 academic year, 1284 students were enrolled in these professions at national level, in the 2017/2018 academic year 2526 students chose this field, and last year 3584 students chose this field. About 10 percent of the recruits are women, who are mostly employed in animal husbandry. (MTI)
