Professional recognition for COOP employees
This year too, prestigious professional awards were presented on November 7 on the occasion of the European Trade Day, in the framework of which the outstanding work of six employees of the COOP Economic Group was also awarded. The professional event, held for the nineteenth time this year, once again drew attention to the importance and situation of the trade sector, where it was said: in Hungary, about half a million people work in trade, the sector generates 11-12 percent of the GDP.
Six employees of the COOP Economic Group also received excellent recognition on the occasion of the nineteenth European Trade Day, the most significant holiday of the trade sector. Every year, the event focuses on trade as one of the most important sectors of the economy, where employees working in the sector are traditionally awarded with prestigious professional awards. József Hatta, Commercial Director of Kapos-Coop Zrt., and Tibor Fekete, CEO of COOP Szolnok Zrt., received the Klauzál Gábor Certificate of Recognition, the most prestigious award in trade. The Grand Prize for Hungarian Trade, founded by the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ), was awarded to Ildikó Kovács, manager of Szabolcs-COOP Zrt.’s store no. 51 in Nyírpazony, Csaba Kőrösi, manager of Kop-Ka Zrt.’s supermarket no. The manager of Hajdú-COOP Zrt.’s shop No. 77 in Debrecen and Zsolt Szalai Botond, head of fresh produce procurement at Tisza-Coop Zrt., received it.
In his speech, the president of VOSZ, János Eppel, who organized the event, emphasized that this year was an extraordinary challenge not only for traders, but also for the economy as a whole. “No one can avoid inflation, high interest rates, the energy crisis, and the problems of supply chains. It is important to have a day every year when traders come to the fore, when we celebrate them and the best among them,” emphasized the president of VOSZ.
