szakMAfest: there is a career in vocational training today
There is now a career in vocational training, and this career must be lived – declared the deputy state secretary responsible for vocational training of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation at the opening of the szakMAfest event in Nyíregyháza on Wednesday.
At the event held on Kossuth Square, Gáborn Pölöskei emphasized that vocational training – like the dance seen at the opening of the program – is “colorful, flexible, enjoyable”, but at the same time there is unity in it, so “you simply have to choose”.
The deputy state secretary talked about how every year more and more young people choose vocational training, which provides quality education. He said that, according to the data, twenty percent of those with vocational qualifications are admitted to one of the higher education institutions, so the technical school is essentially starting to become an entrance hall for engineering education.
“This is our goal, this was our intention”
– said Gáborn Pölöskei.
He explained that, in addition to providing students with scholarships, the vocational training provides training for 178 basic professions, i.e. employment opportunities that later create a secure foundation for the children to support themselves and their families.
