Expert: the forest fires will not pull back Greek tourism
The forest fires will not have serious impact on tourism in Greece, as the country has extensive coastlines and archipelagos where guests can relax without interruption – Sidiropulos Archimedes Greece-expert told M1 news channel on Thursday.
The number of fatalities in forest fires in Greece rose to eighty-one on Wednesday and many people are still missing, the Greek fire service said. Local authorities have said that apart from the Geráneia Mountain, the spread of flames has been able to stop everywhere. (MTI)
