The tourism and hospitality industry facing with skills shortage
There is a skills shortage in the tourism and hospitality industry. The Western European employers offer better terms, so the workers go to work abroad – Gál Pál Zoltán, president of the Tourism and Catering Employers Association (VIMOSZ) told the M1 news channel on Wednesday.
He explained: the labor migration has already begun before the crisis, the profitability of the sector is relatively low because of the tax burdens that are higher than in Western Europe, where the VAT on catering and tourism fall under a preferential tax rate. (MTI)
