Pro-shops and mobile bakers
Hungarian Baker Association would improve the market position of bakers, with the strengthening of Pro-shop networks and the strengthening of direct sales.
With the replacement of commercial chains more profit would stay at the manufacturer and products would better aligned to consumer preferences.
The bakery products sold directly to consumers have a very low rate in Hungary. While in Western Europe 60-70 percent of the manufacturers sell their bakery products in their own pro-shop, in Hungary only 15-16 percent of the products reach the consumer directly – reports Origo.
