German exports increased significantly
In August, German exports increased by nearly ten percent in an annual comparison, while compared to the previous month by 5.4 percent, the highest extent of the past six years.
In August, Germany exported goods in a value of 96.5 billion euros and imported goods in a value of 76.5 billion euros. According to the analysis of the German federal statistics office (Destatis) published Monday, exports were 9.8 percent higher in August, while imports were 5.3 percent higher than a year before.
