The Szabolcsi apple-poppy cake became the cake of Hungary

The Szabolcsi apple-poppy cake won the the Cake of Hungary title this year, while the gooseberry sugar-free apple pie was chosen as the Best Sugar Free Cake of Hungary.

The Szabolcsi apple-poppy cake is the creation of Pintér Zsolt confectioner from Veszprém – said Pataki János, the chairman of the Hungarian Confectioner Industry Board at Tuesday’s press conference in Budapest.

The winning cake can be tasted by anyone on 19-20 August at the Buda embankment in the Street of Hungarian flavors, and on the 20 August in more than 150 pastry shops of the  country. (MTI)
