The two-thirds of the sites offering consumer loans are irregular
Only 30 percent of the 562 websites, that are offering consumer credit investigated by the national authorities are line with EU consumer protection rules – said the Competition Authority's website on Tuesday.
Beyond the 27 EU member states, Norway and Iceland was also part of the test.
In Hungary, 16 websites were examined, of which 11 did not comply with the EU consumer protection rules. Most of the websites were examined in Belgium (93) of which problems occurred at 89. The ratio was worse in Cyprus, where 10 out of 10 sites should be further investigated, as long as they comply with the standards – reports MTI.
