Christmas Eve will also be a day off at Rossmann
Rossmann provides its employees with a day off for the celebration of love. More than 200 of their stores will be closed on December 24. The company management unanimously voted for the day off granted to colleagues.
For a company with a nationwide store network and a market-leading online drugstore shop, it is extremely important for its employees to provide security and support in the fast-paced commercial environment.
“This year dictated a tremendous pace, we have survived three Glamor shopping holidays – the likes of which we have never seen before, but we were able to grow above the drugstore market not only during the Glamor days, we have been virtually unbeatable in unit sales since May, which is a big word in this inflationary environment . We raised wages twice during the year and gave out a Glamor bonus, but I think that in addition to financial benefits, moral appreciation is also very important. We have already thought about making it possible for anyone who can, to spend December 24th preparing for the holidays in the company of their loved ones, and Lidl’s exemplary step has strengthened us in this decision.”
– said Gyöngyi Szurma, company manager and sales manager.
In the coming weeks, negotiations will take place with those shopping centers where mandatory opening hours also apply to Rossmann stores – the company is confident that they will be able to keep them closed here as well.
