Rossmann expands into Switzerland
Rossmann, the highly popular drugstore chain in Switzerland, is to open its first store in the heart of the country at the end of the year, with more stores to follow according to plans.
The stores will have a floorspace of between 400 and 700 square metres. It will be ROSSMANN’s ninth subsidiary abroad: after Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Albania, Kosovo, Turkey, Spain and online sales in Denmark, Switzerland is now added to the list, too.
The company is currently looking for suitable locations.
Some of the ROSSMANN brands have been available in the country since 2017 thanks to a partnership with the discount store Denner.
According to Rossmann, it will offer a range of around 15,000 items and various special offers in Switzerland, including German and typical Swiss brands. The Swiss company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dirk Rossmann GmbH.
