WING and Accent Hotel Management have signed a strategy agreement. The aim of the agreement is to efficiently and successfully operate joint hotel projects in Hungary. WING brings real estate development knowledge, portfolio management experience, capital strength and value-creating solutions to the cooperation, while Accent contributes to the success of the cooperation with domestic and international references, professional operational competence and brand relationships. Through the partnership, they will be able to provide reliable, professional operational and project management services to third parties in the future.

Over the past 25 years, WING has become one of the leading players in the real estate market of Hungary and the Central European region. It has a significant share in the real estate markets of Germany, Poland and Hungary. Its iconic developments significantly shape the cityscape of Budapest. The company has been present in the hotel market for a decade now and has now become a stable player in the domestic hotel development market with successfully implemented projects such as the newly opened TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, which has BREEAM and Acces4you certification, and the ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, also located at the airport, which is the city’s first terminal hotel. The list of successful projects is supplemented by the TRIBE Budapest Stadium at Népliget, which was handed over just over a year ago and is the first Hungarian hotel with a BREEAM In-use “Outstanding” sustainability rating. WING is one of the few domestic developers that has already handed over more than 1,000 hotel rooms.

In addition to hotel development, WING sees significant potential in the field of professional hotel management, so in recent years the company has also taken an active role in the operational tasks of the hotels it has developed. The strategic partnership with Accent takes the joint hotel development expertise and portfolio management competence of companies that are dominant in their respective markets to a new level. With this step, WING and Accent will both strengthen their role in the domestic hotel market and, by working together, will now offer a professional background in the field of hotel operations that will enable them to create further value for their partners and investors in the future.

“With its development and ownership experience, WING is able to offer integrated, transparent and value-adding solutions that are still missing from the domestic independent hotel operation market today. We have gained sufficient professional experience while operating our own hotel portfolio, and these hotels serve as excellent references. Thanks to this, we are also open to providing reliable, professional operation and project management services to third parties in the future”

– said Ernő Takács, Deputy CEO responsible for hotels and retail projects at WING.

As an operation partner, Accent provides comprehensive hotel expertise for the success of projects. The Budapest-based company operates more than 2,000 rooms in 29 hotels in Hungary and Austria for various property owners and is actively expanding its portfolio in the market. As an independent player, a so-called “white label” operator, they also cooperate with international hotel chains under a franchise agreement, so their hotel portfolio also includes Marriott, Best Western and Accor hotels.

“Our cooperation with one of the largest real estate development companies in the Central European region is an important confirmation of the values that have defined Accent’s operations since the beginning. We are proud that we have built a complex operating system and infrastructure with experienced and qualified professionals, with which we can effectively manage various hotels, whether it is a city or business hotel under an international brand, a rural wellness hotel or an accommodation in an Austrian ski paradise. In our joint venture, we would now like to combine this knowledge and competence with WING’s real estate development and management experience in order to operate their hotel investments as efficiently and commercially as possible.”
