The agreement was signed between Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó and Lego's Investment Manager Martin Svejda. Danish Ambassador to Hungary Tom Norring and Executive Director of Lego Manufacturing Jesper Hassellung Mikkelsen also took part at the event.
In his speech made before the signing ceremony, Péter Szijjártó highlighted that the agreement goes further than agreeing on production, supply and job creation as it determines a common set of values focusing on family. The Minister of State reiterated the Government’s commitment to supporting families with such provisions as the development of a child-friendly tax system while Lego, apart from being socially engaged, remained a family-owned company, and represents this approach in its everyday business activities.
