The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) and the National Association of Employers and Industrialists (MGYOSZ) signed a cooperation agreement on April 16, 2025 in order to contribute in a coordinated manner to the competitiveness of domestic companies and, through this, to the strengthening of the Hungarian economy.

“The two organizations perform different functions in the economic policy ecosystem, but their ultimate goals are common: to have a strong, sustainably operating Hungarian economy, with prosperous companies, and well-functioning professional advocacy”
– explained Elek Nagy, President of MKIK. The national chamber plays a key role in increasing the competitiveness of domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting innovation and asserting economic interests.
MGYOSZ, on the other hand, specifically represents the interests of the employer side, with particular attention to medium and large companies, as well as many professional sectors as a whole. MGYOSZ is also active on the international scene: through its membership in BusinessEurope, it is also present in European Union decision-making processes, and its members include not only the largest sectoral employers’ organizations, but also multinational companies as well as major domestic large and medium-sized companies.
The aim of the cooperation now concluded is for the two organizations to act together, recognizing and complementing each other’s professional competencies, in areas where professional consultation and a position statement are needed on issues affecting a wide range of economic actors. MGYOSZ contributes its professional opinion, background knowledge and international network to the public tasks performed by MKIK, whether it is about the transformation of vocational training, the development of the entrepreneurial environment or strategic issues affecting competitiveness.
