The euro area unemployment rate stagnated in February
In February, instead of the expected decline, the unemployment rate in the euro area remained at the January level, according to a report by the European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat, on Tuesday.
In February, instead of the expected 8.1 percent, the unemployment rate in the euro area was 8.3 percent, the same as in January. A year earlier, in February 2020, the euro area unemployment rate was one percentage point lower at 7.3 percent. (MTI)
