Unemployment has stagnated in OECD countries
Unchanged from December, the unemployment rate remained at 6.8 percent in January in the 37 member states of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
According to data posted on the OECD website on Wednesday, this is 1.6 percentage points higher than in the last month before the pandemic, last February.
Last year, unemployment averaged 7.1 percent in the OECD, 5.4 percent in 2019, and 5.5 percent in 2018. (MTI)
