Retail sales in the United States stagnated in January
Sales of automotive, fuel and construction products, as well as retail sales excluding hospitality, stagnated in the United States in January, compared with December, when they recorded a 0.2 percent increase.
US Department of Commerce data released on Friday showed overall retail sales up 0.3 percent month-on-month, after 0.2 percent in December.
In annual terms, retail trade growth slowed to 4.38 percent in January, down from 5.52 percent in December. (MTI)
