Stagnant retail sales in the eurozone
Eurozone’s retail turnover in March was below the 0.2 percent growth expectations, but remained unchanged, which indicates the low consumer demand.
The largest expansion in retail sales was in Denmark (5.5 percent), Lithuania (4.6 percent) and Romania (3.7 percent), while the biggest decrease occured in Portugal (-2.8 percent), Germany (-2.4 percent) and Bulgaria (-1 percent).
On an annual level the highest growth was in Finland (7.4 percent), Denmark (4.4 percent) and Sweden (2.8 percent) and the largest decline was in Bulgaria (-11.6 percent), Lithuania (-10, 6 percent) and Latvia (-7.4 percent) – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
