The market of household chemicals and cosmetics remained 300 billion HUF
Household chemicals and cosmetics retail sales amounted to 300 billion HUF between March 2011 and Febrary 2012, the same extent as last year. According to Nielsen’s Retail Index, stores sold 3 percent less in terms of volume.
Growth was registered in several products – assessVillányi Ágnes Nielsen's Head of the Trade Relationships Department. – For example, the domestic retail, on an annual comparison, sold 1-4 percent more from the ten most popular categories of chemicals such as: diapers, shower gels, detergents, cleaners and paper handkerchiefs.
The hypermarkets are still selling the biggest part of the 60 product groups audited by Nielsen. Their market share in value was 38-percent during the last twelve months, similar to the previous period.
