Stable sales growth for Auchan
In the 2017 fiscal year annual gross sales of Auchan Hungary’s 20 stores and 18 petrol stations increased by 3.7 percent – the company announced at a press conference on 23 August. Sales reached HUF 363.5 billion between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018, and after-tax profit was HUF 3.8 billion. Last year the company invested a lot of money in both traditional forms of retail and e-commerce. CEO Dominique Ducoux told: expansion is in the centre of the retail chain’s strategy, and they don’t need external financial help for this. In 2018 the focus is on innovation and developing new store formats. //
