Retail sales exceeded the HUF 8 billion level between January and August 2013, but sales dropped 1 percent in both value and volume. Hypermarkets’ share from sales was 41 percent, the 401-2,500m² channel was at 14 percent – both channels lost 1 percentage point –, while drugstores value share rose to 30 percent. Manufacturer brands’ value share was stable at 87 percent.
