The Hungarian consumer confidence index remained stable in the third quarter
In Hungary, the Nielsen Consumer Confidence Index reached the record level in the latest period. It is standing on 56 points in the third quarter, as well as during the second quarter survey. A higher index was measured in Hungary in recent years in the fourth quarter of 2010, when it was 59 points.
If we look the consumer confidence index’s gender distribution, men are more optimistic than women: The former’s the average point is 59 points, while the women interviewed is 53 points.
In terms of age in the age group under 35 years, the average of the index is over 60 points. The survey’s result is is an average 68 points among the 25-29 year olds. (Nielsen)
