Stable prices, big harvest – the pumpkin season is on

Thanks to the hot, sunny summer, the pumpkin harvest started earlier this year and the yield is really good.

Already in early September a wide selection awaits shoppers at markets and grocery stores, especially from the orange-skinned, elongated varieties. As for the price, it is between HUF 600 and 900 just like in recent years. Pumpkin contains plenty of water and fibre and it is rich in vitamin C and beta-carotene.
