Market supports students with sports equipment

With the power of sports and community experiences, Market Építő Zrt supports the future of disadvantaged students through the Teach for Hungary (TM) Program. At an event organized at the Móra Ferenc Elementary School in Valkó on the occasion of Hungarian Student Sports Day, students participating in the TM Program received vouchers that can be used to purchase sports equipment.

The goal of the Teach for Hungary Program is for every elementary school student to have at least one profession or to successfully continue their studies by 2030. In the program, university mentors help children in grades 6-8, often living in small settlements, with career orientation and further education. Shared experiences and encouragement for a healthy lifestyle are given a special role in mentoring, which is why the TM Program places great emphasis on sports opportunities.

Market Építő Zrt. supports 110 educational institutions with a total of 3 million forints, which the schools can spend on sports equipment. Gabriella Hajnal, president of the Klebelsberg Center, received the sports equipment vouchers at the event. Dr. László György, the government commissioner responsible for the TM Program, said in his speech:

“The goal is for mentors to make the future tangible for children who do not receive enough encouragement at home. We show them where they can study, where they will be able to work, and they can always count on their mentors for this. Our common cause with businesses operating in Hungary is to show a vision for the future to growing children. That is why the strategic partnership of Market Építő Zrt. is particularly important, as it enables the implementation of programs similar to today’s, which provide experience and real help.”

Dr. Péter Szász represented Market Építő Zrt. at the event:
