METRO’s wide selection of shower gels are displayed on special shelves
As a wholesaler METRO is in a difficult position in comparison with drugstores when it comes to selling shower gel.
This is the reason why it needs to keep innovating and updating its product selection. Services, companies and offices are the main target group as they are responsible for about two thirds of purchases. Packaging units: 200ml, 500ml and 1l products are all available (the latter in packs of 4). There are two private label shower gel brands H-Line and Fine Dreaming, the former targets hotels and is sold in packs of 50 and 250, while the latter is for everyone, sold in various 300ml versions. METRO’s communications manager Yvette Krubl informed us that they are going to update their shower gel selection for the holiday season and cosmetics gift packs will also play a leading role. Several promotion campaigns will be used to attract shoppers
